How to deal with failures| Hope| Episode 51

 At the beginning of the fourth quarter, we were down by 15 points with the NSBC championship on the line. It was game 7 and my dream of winning my first championship was 2 minutes and 10 seconds away. I decided that I was not going to lose my chance, so I took my shot 15-footer fall-away jumper. It hits the rim and doesn't go in. It cost us the entire championship because at the end of the match we lost Game 7 by 1 point. I was shattered. My belief that I could win another championship was completely gone.

I went to the hotel straight, changed my clothes, and informed the coach I am going home. Reaching home, my dad's first question was, " why are you here? " and I told him I didn't know where else to go. I came in the house, put my stuff, and then went straight to court across the house. It was 2 AM the morning, By this point, I knew I needed isolation to think. I went to court sat on the exact spot I took my shot at NSBC with my ball. Just sat there all night. Replaying the same scenario again and again and again in my brain. I couldn't get that mental video out of my mind. I was frustrated. I was furious. And I was sad. I was almost at a point where I was losing hope. I was thinking I will never amount to anything. I will never be able to win another championship.

In one week, I lost my sister, family, friends, and my championship.

Life Lesson- Life is going to hit you. It is going to hit you hard. Don't lose hope.
