At school, I was on the court practicing alone and I didn't care about anyone. I decided that I was going to play my game all alone. No matter what happens, I will take the shots all by myself. Coach called me in his office during the day and asked me what is that I have been doing? I didn't even understand the question. He then said, that the team complained about me to him and I was still surprised about what to do. I said, " Coach, I have decided to play all alone. "
He asked me one simple easy question, " What is my goal? " I said to be the best basketball player in the world. He asked me, " What does best mean to you? " I said, " the one who is capable of doing everything on the court, the one who is feared off and everyone knows he can win the game all by himself "
Coach: Son, do you want to win the championship?
Me: Yes!
Coach: Do you know how many players play in one team?
Me: 5 aside, Coach.
Coach: Do you think you can win an entire championship tournament of 72 games all by yourself- alone?
Me: I don't know... No... not yet.
Coach: You have to understand that as a captain you have to learn to be a better leader.
Me: I don't know where to start searching for answers, and my mistakes
Coach: Next time onwards, carry a book and pen whenever you are talking to anyone.
Life Lesson: Take feedback from the people you trust.
