Dear Passion Episode 12

Got up early in the morning, the excitement of yesterday's match recording kept me up all night. As the sun rose, the first thing I did was to knock on the door at George. George's father was a humble and kind man. he let in, however, George's mother hated morning interruptions. It was 5:30 am she was no one to blame. I went upstairs and knocked on George's room. He was sleeping with the basketball. I woke him, and, it was 6 am. Before I could say a word George's mom was staring at me. I knew I had to leave, yet, it made a signal to keep the tape safe. The clock hit 7 am I was ready to go to school. The first class was starting at 7:30 am. I was on the court, I hit a couple of shots and did go through some drills, and went in the class.

In the class George, Stephen used to sit together side by side, now we were sitting together. During the lunch, I gathered around with everyone, we were thrilled to watch the tape and we discussed where went wrong before watching. It was Stephen's idea, to do it, and we laid on the ground rules for ourselves after school practice no excuses on that. Everyone should be present, the absent person has to do 120 pushups + 30 suicide runs, before playing the next day. This concluded the meeting during lunch. After that, we went to class and the school bell rang, everyone went home. I went to court at route home and I saw Marcus on the court. This time no challenging, just enjoying the moment of the game. Feeling every moment with the basketball, just hearing the ball bouncing, the ball hitting the net, and feeling the air with every moment. And I stood to another side of the court, did a 25 minutes

hoop score, and went. I understood that I cannot get Marcus in a day, a week, or a month. So I went home, showered and called George and everyone at 8:00 pm at my house to watch the recording. We all sat down and started watching the game and we saw every touch, every decision and pointed out the strength and weaknesses of each other. Matt was getting tired quickly, Cole got annoyed and angry easily, Austin hesitated before taking the pass and I was shooting and running more like a dog, Stephen attempted 3 pointer shots being the tallest guy and George was not defending. The next morning, we all went to school took our notes with us to learn from what we saw yesterday.

Everyone took their ball started practicing, but soon enough we all going nowhere. We were sweating, soaked in sweat and we were breathing heavily, yet, there was no improvement in our game. Practice ended ad we ended up with nothing to understand. I was talking to myself in a confused way, " I knew my mistakes, I worked on them and there is no improvement when we play, why? " I was repeating this question over and over again and it struck me, after dinner-

( Called everyone on the phone )

Me: Guys, tomorrow, you all should come with the notes to school?

Cole: Tell me now

Me: Cole, morning 5:30 am at the gym

( As I and Cole used to practice in the morning and evening too )

Cole: Oh Come on, Russel! I will come prepared.

( oh! there one more thing about Cole, he likes to plan everything I mean everything )

And he hung up the phone.

I said to everyone to be present tomorrow. The next morning, Cole was sitting ready

Me: Show me your notes

Me: Listen the only way to develop yourself is to be yourself, or else your game would

reach the next level, however, not the maximum potential.

Cole: I know that

Me: You are annoyed easily, face it! We have to work on that if a shot does not go in, you get annoyed, the opposition sees you and makes you more irritable, We have to put the work on and off the court for our selves to keep ourselves calm and present.

Cole: So ...

Me: When you get an angry look at me, I will feed you the ball, however, you have to make sure that I go in. Do you get that?

And then we continued to list down each other

Life Lesson: Learn the details of your game.
